Description James 2012-08-16 17:28:04 UTC
Pressing control-alt-shift-r turns on gnome shell screen recording.

Pressing it again stops the record, and saves the file in your home directory. This is great however if you start it again, it doesn't work. No file is ever saved, even though it appears to be working.

Pressing alt-f2 (gnome shell run) and typing 'r' (to restart the shell) will cause it to start working again, but only once.

I feel this is pretty clear and easy to duplicate, so I won't offer any other debugging info. I'm using an up to date Fedora 17.

Thanks,
James

PS: I've tested this on a different computer and I get the same result.

PPS: It would be awesome if clicking the "record" circle could stop the recording :)

Thanks for your report, this has already been reported (bug 675128) and is fixed already.

Oops, ok, sorry.

James

PS: Now having read the other bug report, it would make sense to preserve this pause functionality somewhere, but I never would have guessed this existed by default.
