Description Matthias F. 2012-08-02 09:16:00 UTC
Why does a double click on a folder entry in the project view open up a properties window?
Makes absolutely no sense and breaks folder navigation.

A double click should expand the folder tree node.

I have opened the properties window on a double click to make it easier to open. We have get several users reporting that they don't know how to change project properties.

I think it's not a big deal when using the mouse as you can click on the arrow on the left to expand the node. I think it's more annoying when using the keyboard, you have to press + to expand the node. It would be easier to press Enter especially when you search for an item.

I can change this but do you have an idea on how to make project properties more obvious?

Hmm, I don't know why people can't find this dialog, but the current behaviour is not acceptable (for me). It's simply contradicts the rest of the system, where a similar folder trees are used.
And btw the tiny triangle is really hard to hit with the mouse!

People find the file/folder properties in nautilus, so they should be able to find it in the project tree too.
Maybe renaming it to "project properties" will help?

Ok, I have changed this behavior.

It's fixed in the master branch, so it will be available in the next release Anjuta 3.7.1 or higher. Thanks for reporting this bug.
