Description SciFi 2012-08-02 04:47:18 UTC
Hi,

I'm trying to follow-up Duncan's wishes with the Colors tab under Edit Preferences.

I use XQuartz, which is Apple's X11 subsystem for MacOSX. I know there are Gnome/KDE counterparts that will shift graphics to the Quartz engine (and other associated bits under OSX) such that we don't need to compile/install the entire "regular" Gnome/KDE code.

Ergo we don't usually need the Gnome/KDE Color parts, such as what will control the Foreground and Background colors under X11 as a "system color scheme".

I am wanting Pan to "complete" the Colors tab coding, so that the "regular" Black-on-White text can be controlled/changed in its entireity as if we need "per app" color options here.

a. Right now, for example, there is no "Score 0" option underneath the "Header Pane" section of the Colors tab. So I cannot easily control the "regular" Pan lines seen on the Header pane.

b. Also right now, the "Body Pane" section does not have color-settings for "regular" Pan messages.

c. Also as yet another example right now, changing the left/Black color for "Group Pane/Color" does not do anything, it stays at Black no matter what I select there. (However, the related Background color _does_ change.)

To sum up, I will need to ask Duncan (once again) for the gnome/kde "hidden" file(s) that he uses for setting the X11 "system" f/b color schemes, to let me use the "reverse" kind of colors (bright-text-on-dark-background), so to let me relax my own eyes as he does. ;>

(running GIT 1f91845 master branch)

Thank you.
