A desirable feature in Dia would be the ability to highlight text with the mouse using the text tool. Associated features would include the ability to select, cut, copy, and paste text.
This enhancement would represent a significant improvement to general usability and the overall user experience.

I totally agreed. The text selection with the mouse AND the keyboard (using shift+arrow or Ctrl+shift+arrow) should be a really basic feature.
