It was detected as a flaw in cheese but with the help of fujii@IRC we arrive to this trace.

Could you retest with cheese or camerabin using GStreamer 1.0.x ? There were some crazy caps negotiation issues, which I hope are fixed now.

Reporter confirmed on IRC that it seems to work now with 1.x, so closing as OBSOLETE.
