[matroskademux] "reading large block of size 42708909 not supported"
Last modified: 2015-09-10 20:18:32 UTC
I encountered an MKV video file that, when played over FTP, gives rise to the above error message, both with "gst-launch-0.10 -v playbin2 uri=$URL" and "gst-launch-0.10 -v giosrc location=$URL ! matroskademux ! fakesink" (and in Totem). Overall, this looks totally identical #626463, except for the required block size. __tim on #gstreamer said that the block size limit is 15 MB currently; he also suggested setting GST_PLAY_FLAG_DOWNLOAD on playbin2, but (a) I don't know if Totem enables it and (b) Matroska is not whitelisted for download buffering anyway. Is such a file meant to be supported? (Unfortunately, it's too big to just upload it somewhere.)
Can you upload it to dropbox or something?
