GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 679951
Change brightness keys don't work on Acer Aspire One D270
Last modified: 2013-01-01 18:32:51 UTC
Pressing Fn+right/left should change the brightness of the display on my Acer Aspire One D270 netbook but it doesn't. I've read several times about the workaround which consists of adding "acpi_backlight=vendor" to /etc/default/grub but it doesn't work in that particular case. Please tell me which additional information you need to address this problem. Thanks in advance. (Original bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1005495)
What's the output of "upower -d"?

My apologies, upower doesn't export the brightness settings. What's the output of: udevadm info --export-db and: xbacklight -get on your system?
Bastien, thanks for looking into this! Here are the outputs: udevadm info --export-db: http://pastebin.com/8umWee4t xbacklight -get: no output I hope this is of any help.
This bug was fixed and everything now works. Thanks everyone.
