Description jtw 2012-07-15 09:57:26 UTC
Pressing Fn+right/left should change the brightness of the display on my Acer Aspire One D270 netbook but it doesn't.

I've read several times about the workaround which consists of adding "acpi_backlight=vendor" to /etc/default/grub but it doesn't work in that particular case.

Please tell me which additional information you need to address this problem. Thanks in advance.

My apologies, upower doesn't export the brightness settings. What's the output of:
udevadm info --export-db
and:
xbacklight -get
on your system?
Comment 4 jtw 2012-08-21 15:04:37 UTC
Bastien, thanks for looking into this!

Here are the outputs:
udevadm info --export-db: http://pastebin.com/8umWee4t
xbacklight -get: no output

I hope this is of any help.
