See http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html, the "Keywords" key

Those keywords are using by gnome-shell,unity for searches, having some like "mp3", "DAAP", "CD" would probably make sense

totem example:

One list for rhythmbox could be:
