./configure said "0.40.6...  found configure: error: Your intltool is too old.  You need intltool 0.40.6 or later.", but intltool was not even installed on this Debian stable machine.

The error should say it cannot find it, not too old.

Sorry, but this is not a bug. I can't change the macro that I call. It has nothing to do with pan itself.
