Description Alexander Larsson 2012-06-29 08:10:23 UTC
The mockups show a progress bar overlaid on the icons during installation. If its possible to estimate the installation time we should add this.

I've been meaning to do that ever since we added support for VMs but I really don't know of any way to calculate the progress in a reliable-enough way. The best I could come-up with was to base it on number of shutdowns/reboots OS does during an install and/or how many bytes the OS typically writes to disk. Need to discuss with libvirt, qemu and spice folks about this. I heard about plans for some kind of guest consolidations for such things from Alon.
