Description jam 2002-01-02 18:55:53 UTC
Package: gnome-core
Version: 0.1
Severity:

>Synopsis: Bombs when starting X Windows
>Class: sw-bug
System: RedHat 7.1

>Description:
When I start XWindows, gnome-login-check bombs. When I close it
XWindows loads just fine. I used to be running in
Runlevel 5 but when I would try to login, it would
just ask me to login again with no error message or
anything. I switched to runlevel 3 and now when I start
X Windows, I get the error message. Apparently,
this was being hidden when I was running in runlevel
5.

>How-To-Repeat:
Just start X and it happens every time.

This report doesn't contain enough information for us to track down
the problem. Please try the latest gnome-libs and gnome-core release
from http://download.gnome.org/ and see if those help. I can be of
help if you need RPMS to test this.
