Description marcin 2002-01-02 06:50:49 UTC
Package: panel
Version: 1.4.0.4
Severity:

>Synopsis: panel crashes on gnome startup
>Class: sw-bug
System: AMD Athlon, Red hat 7.2

>Description:
When gnome is starting up after the X server initializes, the panel applet generally crashes with a segmentation fault. This happens about 75% of the time on standard redhat 7.2 installation with no customizations. This happens on three athlon machines that I have tried it on. I have not tried on intel.

>How-To-Repeat:
Just startx on a redhat 7.2 system on log in from an xdm prompt. Panel will crash when the gnome desktop starts up.
