which might explain the following behaviour. Just using the keyboard and no mouse when GDM 3 starts up the mouse pointer is in the top left corner. Entering user name and password GNOME 3 starts and the pointer stays in that corner. Now pressing the meta (Windows) key the overlay shortly  pops up but gets closed right away. After hitting the meta key again the overlay stays on the screen and I can enter for example »term« to open a terminal emulator.

Search for »"CurrentTime used to choose focus window; focus window may not be correct."« I got the following hits none of them offering a solution.

With a mouse plugged in and used (during GDM 3) I only get the first warning in `~/.xsession-errors`.
