Description jimmyli1528 2012-06-17 17:07:31 UTC
Open GIMP.
Make any image.
Switch to pencil
Use either the circle or the pixel brush.
Set the size to 1.87. The brish is still a single pixel.
Set it to 1.88. Now the pixel brush is 3 pixels, and the circle is a 3x3 diamond.

GIMP should be able to use a 2-pixel brush.

Thanks for your bug report.
I couldn't reproduce it on Win7, 32 bit with GIMP 2.8.2. Entering numeric values into the size field or using the up/down spin buttons works well for me. How exactly did you try to change the brush size to 1.88? By entering a numeric value, with the spin buttons or the by clicking and dragging the slider itself? If the latter did you do this in the upper or lower half of the slider? Your answer within the next 6 weeks would be very appreciated. Thank you.
