Description Boyd Kelly 2012-06-12 19:40:53 UTC
1) Launch alacarte

2) Click on the checkbox of any checked item, ie uncheck.
Results: Checkmark clears for about 1 second and then reappears. Cannot uncheck the item.

3) Find an unchecked item.
   Click on the unchecked item.
      Results: Item will be checked.

4) Click on the Item checked in step 3, ie uncheck the item
Results: Checkmark clears for about 1 second and then reappears. Cannot uncheck the item.

This basically renders the menu editor non-functional.

Running Fedora 17 with alacarte 13.4

What are you checking/unchecking? A directory? An application?
Comment 2 Boyd Kelly 2012-06-12 22:19:39 UTC
This would certainly be any menu item pointing to an application in the gnome main menu. I have not seen any 'Location' (ie directory) menu items in the default main menu, and trying to create one causes a segfault (but thats another bug...). In any case it is not possible to uncheck any application in the main menu.

I am confirming this non-functionality.

Steps to reproduce are the following:
1. Activate alacarte.
2. Toggle the radio-box for a program (e.g. Calculator).
3. Wait approximately 2 seconds.
4. Watch the radio-box for a program that was previously marked with a check before you toggled its radio-box. It will re-toggle itself, returning to a check.

This should be fixed in git master now.
