Description Hanno Zulla 2012-06-11 12:45:27 UTC
Rhythmbox keeps a local cache of cover art at ~/.cache/rhythmbox/album-art

Only albums that RB opened at least once will have their album art cached there.

When transferring a large collection from a harddisk to an iPod (classic), RB will not use the album art embedded in the MP3 files, but look at the cache directory, only.

As a result, only a subset of albums will feature an album cover on the iPod: Those albums that the user has played since importing the music collaction from the local harddisk.

Suggestion for possible solution: When transferring music to iPod, update the local album-art cache directory for all albums. Or ignore the cache directory and use the embedded cover art, directly.
