Description chris 2012-06-05 17:36:40 UTC
i try to read an mail, but orca seems not have access to the message window (From, subject, message, date)

1 open evolution and hit f7 (if not already active) to activate caret mode.
2 go to an message in the inbox
3 open message via return

orca wont read any information about the new mail (from, to, subject, message, date). orca only say: "panel".

You have to move focus into the message. Having said that....

Here is a list of open Evolution bugs related to Accessibility:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=423346&hide_resolved=1

The bug filed here is closest to bug 347347. So I'll close it as a dup of that one.

As I have suggested to you before Chris, if you asked on the Orca list you would know that there are a lot of accessibility bugs in Evolution. I cannot fix those. I could be fixing other bugs instead of closing yours out as dupes, however. For this reason, I really do encourage you to start with the Orca list rather than with Bugzilla to make inquiries.

Thanks!
