Description Maarten Bezemer 2012-06-05 07:57:33 UTC
From LaunchPad (and slightly modified): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/482785

Before Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 I was able to connect using my Toshiba M750 laptop and Ubuntu Karmin 9.10, up to Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10 I am still not able to connect.

My internal device is a F3507g, but it seems to be a special version for Toshiba, or maybe, an updated firmware.

Doing several tests, it seems the error is the same that in bug LP:#450256 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/modemmanager/+bug/450256).

The command AT+CFUN=1 doesn't work. In a trial/error basis, it needs 2 parameters (AT+CFUN=1,1 seems to work).

In the same way, the command AT*ENAP=0 doesn't work either. It need 2 parameters too (maybe AT*ENAP=0,1 - don't know).

Please, where can I modify this commands string for this modem?

Thanks in advance!!

Any idea what firmware version this F3507g has? Also, what's the error that CFUN=1 gives? is it ERROR 272 or something like that?

@Dan: The original submitter has recently added information (using apport) to the Launchpad bug report.

Flagging this one as obsolete.

If you (or anyone else with the same device) can reproduce the issue with MM >= 1.x, please open a new bug in the new bugzilla at fd.o:
