Overview:

Gedit returns "Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_selection_get_selected: assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_SELECTION (selection)' failed" to terminal prompt when 'preferences' dialogue 'Close' button is pressed. 

Preferences are not saved between program sessions, which may be related.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open gedit from the terminal
2. Click 'Edit -> Preferences'
3. Click 'Close', and view the output message in terminal.

Actual Results:

The message mentioned above is displayed in terminal window. Program preferences are not saved between gedit sessions.

Expected Results:

No output error message. Preferences saved between gedit sessions.

Build Date and Platform:

Build date of gedit or of platform? gedit 3.4.1 on Ubuntu 11.10

Other platforms:

I currently see this on Ubuntu 12.04 with 3.2.0-24-generic kernel.

You need a newer version of libpeas.
