GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 676694
Assertion failure when closing 'preferences' dialogue in gedit 3.4.1
Last modified: 2012-05-24 06:08:57 UTC
Overview: Gedit returns "Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_selection_get_selected: assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_SELECTION (selection)' failed" to terminal prompt when 'preferences' dialogue 'Close' button is pressed. Preferences are not saved between program sessions, which may be related. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open gedit from the terminal 2. Click 'Edit -> Preferences' 3. Click 'Close', and view the output message in terminal. Actual Results: The message mentioned above is displayed in terminal window. Program preferences are not saved between gedit sessions. Expected Results: No output error message. Preferences saved between gedit sessions. Build Date and Platform: Build date of gedit or of platform? gedit 3.4.1 on Ubuntu 11.10 Other platforms: I currently see this on Ubuntu 12.04 with 3.2.0-24-generic kernel.
You need a newer version of libpeas.
