Description:
Task bar crashed upon startup for only a particular user, root works fine. I installed netbeans and openoffice last week so could be the culprit. Deleted all .* files in the users home directory in hopes that reinstalled files would work on next startup. did not work.

Please try the latest gnome-libs and gnome-core packages available
from http://download.gnome.org/

These have fixes for many crashes and other bugs in both packages.
