wide load gdm, whoa mama

im using gdm-3.4.1-1.fc17.x86_64

when i'm in the GDM menu and press the up and down arrows to navigate between users in the list, the menu gets progressively wider until it fills the whole screen. luckily, it doesn't seem as if it will grow beyond the boundaries of the screen and go off-screen. when it's super-wide, and you log in, it makes the resulting animation look really odd.

i'm attaching a screenshot to show how wide it gets.
