GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675503
Larger font breaks the display og the Control center
Last modified: 2016-04-07 14:16:43 UTC
Created attachment 213488 [details] How it looks like currently First reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/936257 I think it is relevant to GNOME upstream as per https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=673869 these changes are being upstreamed Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Gnome Control Center > Universal Access 2. Set Text size to Larger 3. Go back to Gnome Control Center What happens: 1. See attached screenshot What should happen: 1. All text should be visible, the grid should accomodate bigger font size.
Also, if there is for some reason more icons in Gnome Control Center, it sometimes displays a scrollbar, as can be seen here: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/104085164/Screenshot%20from%202012-05-03%2012%3A49%3A31.png
It doesn't clip vertically anymore, but it clips horizontally. Reassigning to GTK+.
The complaints from comment 1 and comment 2 have been fixed by the IconView fixes gone into master and GTK 3.4.3 and the complaints from comment 3 are caused by the fixes for bug 318763 (so it has been that way for 6 years).
I think it's fine to revisit 6-year old bugs when they cause display bugs like that.
The horizontal clipping is what bug 647087 is about, so dup'ing. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 647087 ***
Fixed for English for GNOME 3.22, see bug 661114 for older versions.
