GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675271
pausing video file in totem changes video position
Last modified: 2016-08-30 21:07:25 UTC
Description:When I pause a video and resume the video the correct position of the video is changed. It does not happen every time Additional info: * totem 3.4.1-2 Steps to reproduce: Start a video, wait a while, click pause (the current frame changes to a previous frame), click play(the slide bar shifts to a previous location)
Works fine here. How do I reproduce the problem?
I cannot reproduce it every time... It happens about 10% of the time although that is an estimation. I have not (yet) been able to figure out when it does and when it does not happen... I am having this issue on different distros on the same machine... I see people on ubuntu having similar experience so it is not completely isolated: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/674621
Do you have "remember previous position" turned on in the preferences for example? Without more details on how to reproduce, I'm afraid that I can't fix the problem.
And please try using at least 3.4.3 when reproducing this problem.
Using 3.4.3 I cannot find that preference in my preferences but I see a "Start playing files from last position" and it is not enabled... It could be important to know that I'm having a hard time reproducing this with local video files but it's real easy to reproduce with video files played from a samba share...
whoop: Does the problem still happen in totem 3.12 or 3.10?
