GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675208
small folders are also hidden when followed by "very large folder name" in path bar
Last modified: 2012-05-01 12:46:05 UTC
Created attachment 213163 [details] path bar not showing 'folder name' instead looks blank/empty if a folder name is bigger/larger than the path bar / window size; then the folder name is not visible and subsequent normal/small folder names are also hidden in pathbar, making path bar of no use. How to reproduce: 1. mkdir -p temp/"This is a very big folder name and with zero content inside this name is too big for nautilus toolbar to handle which is way too troubling"/small_folder/small_folder2 /* we created 4 folders, 3 folders inside temp folder */ 2. now open nautilus (keep nautilus window restored or of a smaller size i.e., do not maximize) 3. access temp 4. we can see "This is a very big folder..." 5. enter it 6. observe the path bar 7. instead of showing "This is a very big folder..." it shows nothing 8. though the title bar shows the folder name 9. go inside small_folder and small_folder2 subsequently 10. now even "small_folder" and "small_folder2" is not visible in the path bar Expected behavior: the path bar should *shorten* a very big name with an "..." (ellipse) so that the path and sub directories are visible inside path bar.
