We are in the process of updating the Thumbnail spec to change the cache
location from ~/.thumbnails -> $XDG_CACHE_HOME/thumbnails.

It seems like ./gimp/libgimpthumb/gimpthumb-utils.c will have to be updated.

That would be a subfolder of g_get_user_cache_dir(), right?
