GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675108
Orca doesn't present the volume left-right slider (menu item) in GNOME Shell
Last modified: 2012-04-30 11:33:16 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Navigate to the Top Bar 2. Right Arrow to the Volume menu 3. Down Arrow to the first menu item (left-right slider to adjust volume) 4. Left Arrow and Right Arrow to adjust volume Expected results: * In Step 3, Orca would present something * In Step 4, Orca would present the value change Actual results: * In Step 3, Orca seems to present nothing. It turns out that it's trying to present the newly-focused menu item. However this object seems to have no name or label or value. * In Step 4, Orca doesn't even try to present anything because it doesn't seem to get value-changed events. (Not sure if this is a Clutter/Cally thing or a GNOME Shell thing, so I'm filing here and will let Piñeiro move it as appropriate.)
What is the difference between this bug and bug 648623? I was tempted to close this bug as DUPLICATE, but then I realized that you also reported that bug. So, am I missing something? At this moment, the only difference that I see is the product/component.

Sorry for the noise. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 648623 ***
