Description Jon Cosby 2012-04-29 14:42:49 UTC
Gnome-Shell is broken on my HP Pavillion a1600n. The panel isn't visible, the menu text (m u xt) is broken. I've run Gnome 3 from two live CDs, openSUSE 12.1 and Fedora 16 with identical results

Does this happen when using the integrated graphics card, the discrete one, or both? What drivers are you using?
Comment 2 Jon Cosby 2012-04-29 15:38:09 UTC
The BIOS options are PCI and on board. I've tried both with the same results. Not sure of the drivers, they're provided on the live CDs. For openSUSE, this would probably be noveau.

Hi Jon

Have you tried on a more recent version of GNOME.
could you confirm the problem still exists ?

Thanks
