Description Andrea Azzarone 2012-04-25 17:17:10 UTC
To reproduce:

#. Close all the nautilus windows.
#. Open a new nautilus window.
#. Open gnome-terminal.
#. Start a new nautilus window using the terminal or a launcher (not a dekstop launcher!)

Outcome:
The new nautilus window does not have the focus.

I can reproduce this bug on Gnome Shell, Metacity and Compiz.

Hi all, same here, I just open nautilus from activities and it's not focused, so I have to click on it.
Comment 6 Juan Antonio 2012-09-28 14:10:13 UTC
sorry, It's only when I open nautilus from a search result. Opening from the dash get focus.
Comment 7 Cosimo Cecchi 2012-09-29 00:04:18 UTC
This commit [1] seems to have solved all the focus issue when launched from launchers for me (with or without the desktop enabled); I also pushed an additional fix for the missing focus when launching from the shell search results, in which case we do really need a timestamp from X.

Closing this as fixed, please file new bugs if there are other scenarios where this is still an issue.
