1) "Send to..." is used to copy files to external storage devices. If files with the same names are already there, no message appears to replace/skip/rename them, they just aren't copied and the process stops.

2) The user isn't notified if there isn't enough space, and the process stops (the user would think the process completed).

nautilus-sendto for GNOME 3.8 only supports sending files through an email client. In the future, other sharing options will be implemented through portals (an equivalent system to Android intents).
