Description Gabor Nagy 2012-04-16 01:08:08 UTC
I used to have a previous Gnucash release on 32bit Win7, and I could use the Get Quotes function then.
I had to reinstall windows7, this time it is a 64 bit version.
Today I have installed ActivePerl 5.12.4, same version that I used before.
I have clicked Install Online Price Retrieval in the Gnucash group in the Start menu, it downloaded some stuff and finished OK.

Now if I open the price editor and click Get Quotes, a perl console window appears (empty), and after a few seconds this closes and I receive an error:
Unable to retrieve quotes for these items:
  CURRENCY:BRL
  CURRENCY:CHF
  CURRENCY:USD
  CURRENCY:EUR
  CURRENCY:HUF

I have no idea what causes this and I have no idea how to fix it.

Trace file has only one line, I have no idea if this is relevant or not:
* 02:29:40  WARN <qof.engine> [guid_init()] only got 1871 bytes.
The identifiers might not be very random.

Reassign version to 2.4.x so that individual 2.4 versions can be retired.
