Description Reuben Thomas 2012-04-11 19:06:20 UTC
Under GNOME 3.4 as currently shipped in Ubuntu 12.04, I can update, but cannot install new extensions. When I try to install a new extension, I am prompted to authorize the download and installation, and no error is given, but nothing else happens.

I just noticed that one extension (nohotcorner@azuri.free.fr) did in fact install, but despite multiple attempts, others (e.g. Shell OSD) will not.

Anything interesting in ~/.xsession-errors?
Comment 3 Reuben Thomas 2012-04-11 21:02:18 UTC
Nothing that I could see (I already looked).
Comment 4 Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2012-04-11 21:12:26 UTC
Is there anything interesting in the "Errors" or "Extensions" tab of the looking glass?
Comment 5 Reuben Thomas 2012-04-11 21:18:14 UTC
Nothing that I can see. Specific example: Shell OSD. But I notice now that when I search for it, it is greyed. Nonetheless, I can click through and try to install it. Is it in fact not (yet) compatible with 3.4?
Comment 6 Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2012-04-11 21:29:23 UTC
Ah yes, the extensions pages for extensions that are outdated are a bit broken.
Comment 7 Yuri Konotopov 2017-01-21 20:05:56 UTC
Is it still issue?

No, do please close this.
