Description chrysn 2012-04-10 22:07:48 UTC
the new super menu (gear icon) can't be easily accessed by keyboard shortcuts. this is a problem especially as not all features are accessible via the normal menu bar any more, which can be accessed using F10.

the fastest way currently available to reach the icon is Ctrl+L, Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+Tab, a way of navigating widgets barely known, and clumsy.

given epiphany seems to serve as a pilot project here, special care should be taken to get this right. personally, my first idea would be to assign Ctrl+F10 (given that F10 is the application menu and Shift-F10 is the currently active object's context menu, that'd sit somewhere in between as the current tab's menu), but people well versed in hig probably have better funded opinions here.

The accel for this is Ctrl+e, but I screwed up and made the accel for Preferences also be Ctrl+e, which has preference. Sigh.

The accel is now F10, same as in Files.
