Description GrafxUser 2012-04-10 20:32:47 UTC
Many of the GEGL operations Tools/GEGL operations have inappropriate range bounds for the parameter sliders.
They have following impacts:
1. They are confusing
2. They also let GIMP freeze if the preview checkbox is enabled and the user accidently sets a wrong value by just playing around with the sliders.
See the attached screenshot for one example. If this bug is not a duplicate, I can provide a summary of more occurrences.

Comment 2 Øyvind Kolås (pippin) 2012-04-10 21:00:20 UTC
Functionality to use more appropriate ranges specified in the GEGL operations is done in the next development version of GIMP, for GIMP-2.8 such functional changes are not being applied.
