Description Pacho Ramos 2012-04-05 09:52:26 UTC
As reported downstream at:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401219

libgda-5.0.3 is not compatible with JDK 1.7 as provided by icedtea7. As explained in:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401219#c12
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401219#c14

"The JAVA_HOME given to configure is outright ignored according to log.

For java 7 the commands
    /usr/bin/java -classpath . getsp -libs
    /usr/bin/java -classpath . getsp java.library.path

both won't return what the author would expect it to be which makes it fail. To work with a jdk7 the configure script needs to be fixed."

Thanks a lot :)

There was a commit 2 weeks ago addressing this:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/libgda/commit/?id=e0e475cca0d7a4ca695ca94b151b8d4d539d2de5

=> In my tests, this is fine on x86_64, but does NOT YET work on i386 java
