Description Russell Harrison 2012-04-04 03:51:16 UTC
The removable device notification doesn't provide the required options for selecting the application to handle removable media as configured in system settings.

User Menu -> System Settings -> Removable Media

Select "Ask what to do" for media with Photos

Insert a media card from your digital camera

The hotplug notification is displayed but only give two options on of the possible application from the system setting dialog and to open the device with nautilus.

The expected behavior is to be able to choose which application to use to process the images on the device or to simply view the files. Also, it is unclear how to configure what application is chosen by the notification dialog.

Yeah, this is a duplicate of bug 672563. Please add a comment there to note we should also respect "Ask what to do".
