GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 673321
Adwaita needs more polishing
Last modified: 2012-04-03 00:14:29 UTC
Hi, I've been noticing a lot of bugs concerning the latest version of Adwaita. - GNOME Documents: The button in the green bar on top has: - A bad "pressed" gradient. - A white text shadow(with white text). The actual bar is missing a bottom border. - GNOME control center: - Pressed state of the bottom links(Layout settings) is messed up. - Buttons: - The pressed state doesn't look right. - Switchers: - They do look broken because you use a black text, weak outer border, strong inner button's border and a strong gradient. - Porgressbars: - Strong trough gradient. - Border problems with the small version. - Sliders: - The trough has an extra inner border that makes it look bad. That's all I can remember. Sadly, I can't attach all the screenshots. Please refer to these two G+ posts of mine to get an idea, along with the proposed fixes. http://goo.gl/pYjyz http://goo.gl/DxZzU Thank you.
This report is not handable as it covers more than one issue. Filing separate reports with screenshots for each issue is very welcome.
Hi Reda, thanks for this report. We really do care about these small theming details, and your report contains indeed some real bugs, which I now fixed in git master and in the gnome-3-4 branch. Specifically: - the link button - the light text shadow on Documents' selection mode toolbar - the progressbar border in the small version as seen e.g. in Transmission For the other items you reported, it's best to follow Andre's suggestion and open separate bug reports with a screenshot attached. Note that while Bugzilla is the best place to track actual theming bugs (like these I just fixed), for matters of taste, it's better to get in touch with designers (e.g. Lapo and Jakub) on IRC (#gnome-design channel on GimpNET).
