Does not happen on Fedora 16 with 3.2.3.
Which version is this about?
Is there any output in the terminal?
If it hangs, can you provide gdb output? See https://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details
Comment 2 Fabio 2012-04-02 10:02:49 UTC

Hmm, gdb output not really helpful so far... what about letting it crash (not handle the SIG33) and then enter "thread apply all bt"?

Link to the strace, the bug is reproduced near the end:

Hello
I've closed strace with ctrl-c then after approx 10 seconds evolution (hanged) crash with this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/971428
I can reproduce the bug on two computers upgraded to precise.
Comment 7 Fabio 2012-04-02 11:20:22 UTC
Normally Evolution don't crash, it just hang, only under strace it crash.
The only way to kill the naged evolution is by -9

Hi,

I have Fedora 16, evolution version 3.2.3, and the same behavior.

gtkhtml version 3-4.2.3

If I can help in anything.

Easy for me to reproduce. But may need help to debug things...
