I contacted the maintainers weeks ago to close it in GNOME Bugzilla and Robert answered "I do not think I will work on gnome-chess during the next time.
Feel free to adjust bugzilla."
So I closed remaining open reports as WONTFIX:

Please also reflect this in GNOME Git by moving from
       http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-chess/
to
       http://git.gnome.org/browse/archive/gnome-chess/
