Description T3STY 2012-03-27 22:02:16 UTC
I am using Fedora 16 (verne) and nautilus has a different behaviour for deleting files/folders using the keyboard. Instead of using only the Delete key it uses the CTRL+Delete combo.
I thought then to suggest to gnome's developers team to restore the original behaviour, and I have posted it on the ubuntu brainstorm, but an admin said it was a bug of gnome/nautilus and I had to report it here as a bug.
Here you can find the thread:

http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/29410/

and here is the page where I saw the suggestion of using CTRL+Delete:

http://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=cce40272e35b20b4aaf5f93109a05b7bb89704d5

This is the blog of the author of the suggestion where he discusses about it:

http://gilest.ro/blog/patches-for-nautilus-move-to-trash-bug/

Actually, I'm sure this is not a bug because I can see the post in the 2nd link where gnome's team approved to use CTRL+Delete instead of Delete, and I'm really angry with ubuntu brainstorm's decision to close the thread. But as long as posting there again would not make any sense (the new thread would be closed and reported as duplicate) I have to report it here so someone will get a look into this.

Please give me an advice when you figure out wether it's a bug or not and please restore the default Delete behaviour.

p.s. When I say Deleting files I actually mean Move to trash.
