If i issue a quit from File->Quit or right click on the applet and quit, it doesn't work.

I've got instead at the console:

(gnote:1256): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_main_quit: assertion `main_loops != NULL' failed

But it i click on the X right top corner, it quits successfully.

I think this is duplicate of 670104.
Please, try using glib 2.32 (just out) or apply a supplementary patch from 670104.
