Description topdownjimmy 2012-03-18 17:51:49 UTC
Initial messages of a conversation are not being displayed in the window. They show up in the log, but not in the window. Happens with all protocols.

Downstream bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/947411

Confirmed on clean installed Ubuntu 14.04LTS 64bit on jabber protocol.

First message is lost always when I have already opened chat window with another contact/s When first message comes it opens chat window but missing that new message.

When I completely close all chat windows and open new one with the contact of the lost message then I can see that the missing message is there but with strange style - like outside of theme.

The same results are with various clients on the other side - pidgin, miranda, adium, facebook, googletalk

Which version of Empathy are you using? This could be bug #662672
