As opposed to the light theme's tabs, which become the same color as the content area long before hitting it, the line of pixels just above the edge in the dark tabs are a lighter color. This creates visual banding. Pushing the gradient edge up just 2 or 3 pixels could easily solve this.

Upon further observation, it seems the light theme actually leads up to the edge as well, although it's much more difficult to notice.
