GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 671866
Don't require scrolling when there is enough screen space
Last modified: 2012-03-12 15:21:41 UTC
In most cases, the contents of gnome-control-center could fit in the screen without scrolling. We should avoid the use of scrollbars in that case (see also http://jeff.ecchi.ca/blog/2011/06/24/dont-make-me-scroll/ )
That's what we try to do.
That's great! Is it supposed to work in 3.2 then, or is this only for 3.3.x? Because I'm certainly not seeing that here, both in the French and English locales.
Could you at least make the effort to describe the bug here?

I am sorry, I thought that it was obvious/visible on all setups (I presume it is not, judging from your slightly uncourteous reaction). I think the screenshot should convey the problem more succintly than words now. Note that this is on a 1920x1200 screen.
(In reply to comment #5) > I am sorry, I thought that it was obvious/visible on all setups (I presume it > is not, judging from your slightly uncourteous reaction). I will not read anything that's not in the bug. Unless it's 500 meg video that you can't attach to bugzilla, there's no reason why you can't do that here. The system settings parts of GNOME have enough "wouldn't it be nice" bugs to last me a couple of lifetimes, I won't spend those scouring personal blogs, forums, or non-upstream bug trackers. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 657560 ***
