in  gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.3.90 the wallpaper is:

<default>'file:///usr/share/themes/Adwaita/backgrounds/stripes.jpg'</default>

but gnome-themes-standard 3.3.91 doesn't have this background anymore.

I don't know what gnome designers want but gnome-backgrounds-3.3.91 has the Strips.jpg in usr/share/backgrounds/gnome/Stripes.jpg
