Description Bill 2012-03-06 20:45:56 UTC
gnumeric 1.10.16

Select 'Edit > Search' opens the search dialog.

Near the bottom is a radio button:
O Range [Sheet1!$A:$A    ] {icon}

When clicking on the {icon} a small dialog opens with only:
[Sheet1!$A:$A    ] {icon}

I assumed that this would allow me to re-select a range, click the {icon}, and the range would be changed... but I can not seem to make that work.

Now I suppose my assumption is wrong.
What is the purpose of that dialog?
How to use it?

Note that this related to bug #500385. You really shouldn't be getting that dialog.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Note that this fix just hides the icon when the range selection is disabled (see bug #500385).
