If you can reproduce the crash reliably, might be good to get valgrind trace.

This crash seems related to libdbusmenu which is an Ubuntu specific change.

Yeah, this looks like a race of some sort when the menus are getting disconnected, so either appmenu-gtk or dbusmenu-glib.  Probably dbusmenu.
