It's not clear what 'elevator' is.

Something that goes up and down (those buttons are touchstrips and touchrings on Wacom tablets). I don't really see the point of translating implementation details, but then, I would get bugs about it not being translated.

Feel free to change the label, or add a translator comments.

You're the gnome-settings-daemon developer not me. :) So you're the one who has authority and knowledge to change labels and add comments when translators don't understand what you propose them to translate.
