Description Walter Garcia-Fontes 2012-03-05 07:53:44 UTC
When adding a new addressbook by synchronizing with gogle, nothing hapens. Exiting evolution, issuing kill -9 /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory, and opening evolution again makes the contacts show immediately.

Some users report that waiting for about 5 minutes also makes the contacts show eventually.

Thanks for a bug report. Your downstream bug mentions couple different issues. a) One is as you wrote above, the first time the Google book is added it is
not showing its content (might be the backend is synchronizing, but maybe
   not)
b) Just added Google book shows its content, or even after startart of a book
factory process, but after restart the Google book is empty.

I guess the b) is bug #681815.

I cannot reproduce a) with current git master, which is pretty much the same as 3.6.2 in this area. Could you retest with the current stable version, please?

Hi Walter,
if you have time, could you please check again whether this issue still happens in Evolution 3.8.5 or 3.6.4 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field and provide information about your distribution? Thanks a lot.
