Description k_kenneth_clark 2012-03-04 18:29:40 UTC
BACKGROUND:
Periodically, I sort emails by sender and save the highlighted one using CTRL-S.
This takes forever because I cannot quickly do "CTRL-S/CR/del".
My slow machine captures the CR in Evolution window, not the SaveMessage window.
This opens the email in a new window. (Grrr).
Then the del will erase the filename in the Name box contents which are derived from the Subject line. (Grumble)
To speed up the process, I would expect to be able to highlight a group of emails.

THE REAL PROBLEM:
I can select many emails by using shift-Click or shift-up/dn-arrow, but only one is saved. (Growl)
Of course, a subsequent del erases them all. (arrrrrrrrrrrgh)
I consider this a bug since Thunderbird saves all highlighted files.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
