Description José Ignacio Villar 2012-03-02 07:49:57 UTC
I tried several DLNA media servers and all of them worked with my Onkyo AV receiver (Onkyo TX NR609), but Rygel (0.10.1) is not even seen by it. Currently I don't have the latest firmware version on it, I'll update it and report the results, but the next firmwares don't mention DLNA enhancements at all, so I suppose that It'll be the same.

I'm currently using Ubuntu 11.10 and minidlna, to send my files, but I need to stream PulseAudio Output.

Have you any possibility to try 0.13.2? Unfortunately that needs a newer version of GUPnP than the one being available on 11.10. It could be as easy as a UPnP version downgrade.

If not, can you try the following:

sudo touch -t 199001010000 /usr/share/rygel/xml/*
sed --in-place -e's,MediaServer:2,MediaServer:1,' $HOME/.config/Rygel/*.xml

If that works, please add a network trace as described at https://live.gnome.org/Rygel/tcpdump so we can add this device to the list.
